COVID-19 is a pandemic that is spreading across the world at alarming rates. A number of countries are under lockdown and taking all possible precautions to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The virus has also entered India and at this point, the safety of our partners and customers along with their families is vital to us. We are listing out a guideline regarding hygiene changes to help protect you and your families.

DO’s:

  • Wash Hands

Frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer for at least 20 seconds. Make sure you cover all parts of your hands such as the back of your hand, under the nails, in between fingers etc. This helps prevent possible contraction.

  • Cover your Nose & Mouth

With a tissue while sneezing and coughing. Also, cover your face when you have pickups/drops in crowded locations. Keep your hands away from your face especially your eyes, nose and mouth as a precautionary habit as the virus spreads in the form of minute invisible droplets. Please ensure that the dirty tissues are thrown in closed bins.

  • Disinfect all Surfaces

Such as door handles, steering wheel etc regularly to avoid transmission/contraction of the virus. Wipe these surfaces at least once a day with a sanitizer such as Dettol, Savlon etc.

  • Maintain Social Distance from People

Avoid public gatherings such as parties, meetings etc. Stay home as much as you can. Self-quarantine is key to slowing the spread of the virus. Avoid physical contact such as hugs, handshakes etc as this is a quick way to contract/spread the virus.

  • Go cashless

Avoid touching anything circulated publicly such as cash which may be a medium of transmission. Encourage customers to do cashless payments. Porter has several methods to allow you to get immediate online payments.

  • See a doctor immediately if you display any of the below-mentioned symptoms

If you have symptoms such as a cold, dry cough, high temperature or difficulty in breathing see a doctor immediately. Please call the clinic/hospital beforehand to give them a chance to prepare for the test too. The government has issued state-wise helpline numbers..Central Helpline Number for corona-virus: – +91-11-23978046

Don’ts:

  1. Please do not spit in public places so as to eliminate chances of contracting/transmitting the virus.
  2. Do not have more than one person as your co-driver. This will help you isolate your chances of getting infected or infecting others.

Please remember that there is no need to panic. Bringing these small changes in our lifestyle will help us protect ourselves and others. Let’s stay vigilant and fight this together. Take care and stay safe!
